What is an Embrace?
An Embrace is a personal film made from video messages and photos sent by the people who care about someone. You invite them, choose the moments, and share the finished film with a private link.
Is there an Embrace app?
Embrace is coming on the App Store for iPhone. Embrace is coming on Google Play for Android. You can also create an Embrace in any web browser today. Friends and family never need the app; they use the link you send.
Do friends and family need an account?
No. Contributors open your invitation link, add their name and phone number, and upload their photos or videos. They don’t need to create an account or enter a verification code.
What can people send?
Photos (JPEG or PNG) and videos (MP4 or MOV) from their phone or computer. To record something new, they can use their phone’s camera first and then choose the video.
How long can a film be?
Up to 100 photos and videos, and up to 60 minutes in total. Each photo appears for 5 seconds.
How does the person receive it?
When the film is ready, you finalize it and send a private link by text, email, or any messaging app. They watch in their browser, without an account or app.
Who can add to an Embrace?
Anyone with your invitation link can add a photo or video until you finalize the film, so share it with the people you’d like to include. You decide which contributions go into the film.
What does it cost?
Embrace is free for now. Our standard price will be $29 per Embrace, paid once when you share the finished film. There’s no subscription.
Is Embrace only for someone who is ill?
No. People make Embraces for birthdays, milestones, new chapters, time apart, and ordinary days, as well as for treatment and hospital stays.
Is Embrace medical care?
No. Embrace helps people share support and connection. It isn’t medical care, therapy, or an emergency service, and it doesn’t promise any health outcome. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
